About the College
Government Law College, Mumbai (“GLC”), established in 1855, is the oldest Law College in Asia, dating even prior to the University of Mumbai. It enjoys a pre-eminent reputation for excellence in the field of legal education. GLC has had the privilege of guidance and tutelage under eminent legal luminaries such as Dr. B. R. About the Committee
The Alternative Dispute Resolution Cell (“ADR Cell”), established in 2016, aims to promote Alternative Dispute Resolution (“ADR”) mechanisms and develop skills in Arbitration, Mediation, and Negotiation among students. Committed to strengthening ADR practices in the country, the ADR Cell serves as a platform for students to explore and advance their interests in the field.
To foster an ADR culture, the ADR Cell organizes workshops and expert-led lectures, providing students with opportunities to learn from leading professionals. Beyond academics, the ADR Cell conducts regular training sessions and practice rounds to prepare students for national and international competitions, where they have earned numerous accolades. With each passing year, the ADR Cell continues to grow, expanding its influence within the college and the broader legal fraternity.
About the Competition
The ADR Cell is hosting the 5th AZB-GLC National ADR Triathlon 2025 on the 27th and 28th of March, 2026 in association with AZB & Partners as the Title Sponsor. The ADR Cell has also received support from Indian Dispute Resolution Centre, which has joined as a Supporting Partner.
The GLC National ADR Triathlon is a one-of-a-kind competition organized by the ADR Cell, where each three-member team competes in all three rounds – Client Counselling, Negotiation, and Mediation, while representing the same party throughout, simulating real-world legal practice.
