IDRC Partner Event: NMIMS 4th Annual Mediation Competition 2025 (16th March & 5th April,2025, Hybrid), Register Now!

The Indian Dispute Resolution Centre is a Proud Supporting Partner for the NMIMS 4th Annual Mediation Competition 2025.

About The Organization:

The Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee (ADRC) was constituted to promote interest in ADR methodologies given its relevance to the legal profession. The committee was established in 2018 as an initiative to provide a platform for ADR enthusiasts from across the world to interact with the NMIMS student body to facilitate knowledge and growth in this emerging field.

Our work profile includes quite a few notable events. A webinar on ‘Practical Facets of Dispute Resolution Clauses in Contracts’ by Adv. Ravitej Chilumuri, Partner at Khaitan & Co. was conducted. Webinar on the ‘Nuances of Arbitration’ by Adv. Sushil Jethmalani, Senior Associate at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co was yet again conducted for fostering the ADR mechanism amongst students. We have previously collaborated with Lakshmikumaran and Sridharan, and Economic Law Partners to conduct a successful National Arbitration Moot Court Competition. Before this, we had also collaborated with L&L partners for a preceding National Mediation Competition. All of these events were conducted online and in a hybrid mode.

About The Opportunity:

The NMIMS 4th Annual Mediation Competition 2025, Navi Mumbai is tentatively set to take place on 16th March (online rounds) and 5th April (offline rounds) in a hybrid mode. We are very enthusiastic to announce the competition since we received a great response from the students for our previous editions that took place with students from private and government law schools across the country. This event will provide the students with an opportunity to experience, learn, and put their knowledge to practice in a healthy competition and environment with consistent guidance and support from the committee. Since the inception of this committee, we have been moving forward with our goal to foster the development of ADR among the students.

The structure of the competition spans across 2-3 days commencing with inaugurals, workshops, preliminary rounds, quarter-finals, semifinals, and the finals followed by the valedictory ceremony.
