Introduction about the Indian Dispute Resolution Centre (IDRC)
Indian Dispute Resolution Centre, is a not-for-profit initiative of 'International Dispute Resolution Council' dedicated to provide an institutional environment, both online and offline, for the resolution of all kinds of disputes in an efficient, professional, time-bound and cost-effective manner.
The IDRC is registered with NITI Aayog for carrying out Legal Education, Literacy, awareness, Vocational Training and like.
The Lexidem Training Course marks the 5th Anniversary of the Indian Dispute Resolution Centre, which was launched on May 22, 2020.
About Indian Institute of Arbitration (IIA):
Indian Institute of Arbitration is a state-of-the-art training organization offering Online and Offline Certificate Courses and Diplomas in all the facets of International and Domestic arbitration. It was established by our Founder, the Late Mr. M.S. About the Course:
The Course will provide an understanding of the general principles of Domestic and International Arbitration in Commercial Disputes. The course will provide candidates with an introduction to the legal framework, good practice and procedures, and domestic arbitration in India. Learning Outcomes of the Course:
- Define what is meant by the term ‘Domestic Arbitration’.
- Identify, explain and apply the legal procedural principles, rules and agreements relevant to the conduct of a domestic arbitration:
- The legal framework, including limitations of matters that may be legally arbitrated;
- The methods of initiating and processing an arbitration;
- Evaluate and apply the principles and legal requirements of a domestic arbitration law
- Evaluate issues and apply the law of domestic arbitration
- Understanding procedures involved in International Commercial Arbitration
- Demonstrate practical skill in carrying out the tasks required in preparing for and progressing a domestic arbitration

1. Mr. Ashok Kumar Singh, Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India
Ashok Kumar Singh is a Senior Advocate in Supreme Court of India and has an experience of more than 45 years in legal practice dealing with various international and national matters including arbitrations.
He has been regularly practicing, in the Supreme Court of India, High Court of Delhi, High Court of Uttarakhand, High Court of Meghalaya, District Courts, and the Tribunals.
He is empanelled as an Arbitrator for more than 20 International and National Organizations and as an Arbitrator, has conducted approximately 50 cases as a Sole Arbitrator or a part of the Tribunal.
2. Mr. Ratan K Singh, Senior Advocate and Arbitrator and International Member, Keating Chambers
Ratan K Singh is a Senior Advocate in the Supreme Court of India. He is one of the leading arbitrators and counsels who is appointed and engaged in complex, high-value commercial litigation and arbitration. With about 25 years of experience, he has a heavyweight practice in India, as well as internationally, with specialities in construction, engineering, infrastructure, mining, and general commercial and civil disputes.
Ratan has also received numerous arbitral appointments as chair, wing arbitrator and has represented parties in complex, high-value domestic and international arbitrations. He has a broad experience in international arbitration under the rules of the International Chambers of Commerce (ICC), UNCITRAL, Singapore International Arbitration Center (SIAC), London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), Japan Commercial Arbitration Association (JCAA), Delhi International Arbitration Center (DIAC), Indian Council of Arbitration (ICA), Indian Council of Arbitration and Dispute Resolution (ICADR), and others.
3. Ms. Abhisaar Bairagi, Partner, Dispute Resolution, Energy and Infrastructure and Resources, International and Domestic Arbitration
Abhisaar is a Partner in the Dispute Resolution practice group in the Delhi NCR Office. She represents both Indian and International Clients in domestic and international arbitrations and handles commercial disputes across a range of sectors with special focus on Infrastructure, Logistics, Freight & Warehousing, Mining, Energy & Natural Resources and Transportation. Besides oral advocacy, Abhisaar also routinely engages in pre-disputes advisory and represents her Clients in mediations and conciliations.
4. Mr. Arush Khanna, Partner, Numen Law Offices
Arush Khanna (MCIArb, MMIArb) is an Advocate & Legal Consultant enrolled with the Bar Council of Delhi. He started his practice in 2012 after graduating from the Symbiosis Law School, Pune and has also done his Master's (Business Laws) from the National Law School of India University, Bangalore.
After having worked in M/s Karanjawala & Co. and in the chambers Mr. Sanjeev Anand, Senior Advocate at the Delhi High Court, Arush started his independent counsel and advisory practice in New Delhi before co-founding Numen Law Offices in 2019.
